Did you read the book before you saw the film? (tiny spoiler alert)

I went expecting a hack job. The story has so many characters with involved relationships that I thought it would be impossible to cover the whole story.

Well I was wrong. I thought the film was terrific on it's own and I was very impressed with the editorial decisions. The adapted screenplay takes a few small liberties with the story (for example: when Blomkvist tracks down the honeymooning couple...and the time line of the story relative to his jail time), but generally is quite true to the book. I wonder if the filmmakers used the same locations that Stieg Larsson scouted for his book?

Anyways, I hope they do the whole trilogy!
