The Dresser / A rather English Marriage or Matthau and Lemmon on a higher level...

.Finney & Courtenay...

The Dresser a heavy heavy play. Depressing and reach me only partly, a show case for both actors, well a bit too much of it.
No relation whatever with The Gathering Storm, beside the same actor ( Finney ) and the time place of WWII-
It confirm me what a hell of an actor he is.

A Rather English Marriage, a bit of a fairy tell ( The Black women here play the part of angels, first reunited both men, then being as a nurse, much human as the cold blonde English nurses )
But then realistic in portraying people as they are, not too bad not too good.

Both films are worth the entrance.
But still failed to be excellent, I am sure the actors had more fun to do them as we has to see them..
