Just how good that Scofield fella thinks he is?

Posted by Victor Khomenko on June 18, 2010 at 06:54:30:

Incredibly good, actually. Not too widely known as movie actor (only what... fifteen films?), he is considered one of the best actors to ever walk the Earth. And rightly so.

Just days ago I again watched The Train, where he plays the cold-blooded Nazi, and last night something totally different - a warm and totally human, too soft to the core, boss in Bartleby - BTW, if you have not seen it - run, not walk to get it.

I will borrow just one line from Wiki, that seems to put it well:

"An actor of extraordinary intelligence, Scofield was noteworthy for his striking presence and distinctive voice, and for the clarity and unmannered intensity of his delivery."
