"Facing Windows" - for the chance of seeing Massimo Girotti's last work

Posted by Victor Khomenko on October 4, 2010 at 06:11:29:

imdb characterizes Girotti as "Manly, chiseled, exceedingly handsome, very agile", and those familiar with his patrician face might consider this an understatement. Who would forget his performance (and face) in Pasolini's Teorema?

Facing Windows was the actor's last film, he died waiting for its release - that alone should make it worth a look. But it turns out it is also a pretty good film, with strong human undertones and wonderful performance by Giovanna Mezzogiorno. Throw in the mix some wonderful music such as Nada's "Ma che freddo fa" and the timeless Historia de un Amor and you are talking about 90 minutes well spent.
