"Heartbreaker": More Romatic Comedy in Monaco . . .

Posted by mr grits on January 12, 2011 at 23:28:07:

Romain Duris has a great job. With the help of his sister and her husband he travels around the world to break up romances. He and his team come up on their toughest challenge by agreeing to break up the seemingly perfect couple with only ten days until their marriage. Despite their previous successes they fall short of their goal endangering Duris' standing with his loan shark and giant Serbian muscle.

This film is so well written, produced, and edited it deserves a big bravo for the laughs and fuzzy feelings it manages to emit. The hi-jinx of Duris attempting to seduce Vanessa Paradis are truly enjoyable and the superb editing of the film makes it flow smoothly throughout.

Personally, Duris' dental anomaly creeps me out but I will have to say he is a very talented actor and very physical like a dancer. His paring with Paradis (also dentally challenged) puts two less than stunning people together to further confuse my Anglo mind as to what the French really admire about people's looks.

Oh well, I enjoyed it. This is a great popcorn and ball & chain flick.
