minus the humor. Anna Faris proves she's no Kristen Wiig. Not close. There is a similar toasting scene; in "Bridesmaids," it was a hilarious contest of one-upwomanship. In this, a maudlin speech of platitudes.
Wiig is the real deal. This isn't a terrible film, but it absolutely pales next to "Bridesmaids." Much more enjoyable, for instance, than a so-called "guy film" with endless murder and mayhem. Why American males prefer to watch ripped men killing other ripped men and consider it a masculine pursuit, while watching good-looking women in scanty clothes is not, is beyond me.....
