I came up with the comparison to Welles on my own, I agree it could be better than BE

(of which I decided not to watch the second season). Just not a genre I care for, sick of the gratuitous violence, unless done really well then anything is fair game.

Frankly I prefer Game of Thrones to Boardwalk Empire but neither is great and a step behind something like The Sopranos for sure.
