I think the original is classic in every way, a simple story executed to perfection but

the Bride has more depth, a very human and almost sweet/humorous side. Also the buildings and the experiment at the end especially, are visually stunning.

Also: the bit about the miniature humans are more of a distraction than anything (and a bit of a hiccup imo) but really well done and funny.

Both are required viewing IMO
