Assassination Tango, another little movie

Posted by jimdgoulding@yahoo.com on November 30, 2011 at 13:34:52:

I watch when it comes around on cable. Written and directed and featuring Robert Duvall. Evil old farts horsing around trying to one up each other, the screenplay is a hoot. Don't think there is a multi-syllable word in it. Duvall's character is onery and aloof but down to earth and an expert at what he does. Filmed in Buenos Aires for the most part and includes much footage of the Tango. His wife is his co-star and a dancer. So, it's written about something close to home and I expect the reason he wrote it. He may have produced it, also. May have had to. This isn't a big box office pic. Duvall is the show and he's at his enigmatic best. It's hard to take your eyes off him. Except when his wife is in the picture, that is.
