His role in Bobby Deerfield is easily one of his best, certainly offering far better, nuanced performance than his usual bombastic crap one gets so very quickly tired of, and that became his trademark, unfortunately.
Turns out - he actually knew how to act, but simply forgot in later years.
Heck... this made me want to go out and buy the Seiko Helmet watch that he was wearing and promoting.
