Yvan Attal plays a man of family wealth who runs a conglomerate with 130K employees. His life is going according to his plans until someone decides to kidnap him. He is blindfolded and placed in the trunk of a car for a journey to an unknown private cell to await his fate.
A ransom demand goes out and his board convenes to decide what their liability should be if Attal's wife cannot access enough cash to cover it. Plus, the Paris police become involved and before long the press uncovers his penchant for heavy gambling and mistresses much to the surprise of his tasteful family.
This film is long but no longer than it needs to be. A nicely acted drama bringing out all the angles of what a modern business might do in times of crisis as this. Over half the film covers his abduction but a large share covers the fallout from his return to his family and business.
This is worth a look if you like French film.
