So few movies are able to create the type of foreboding atmosphere which permeates almost all the scenes in "Melancholia", no matter how seemingly illogical. And the visual imagery really stayed in my memory - and not just naked Kirsten! :-)
I haven't seen "Take Shelter" (post below) - will try to watch it soon.
BTW (speaking of Malick), I liked "Melancholia" much better than I did "Tree of Life".
