As far as crime films go, A Somewhat Gentle Man is the kinder, gentler one

I am sure there are Stellan Skarsgård lovers here - they will get a special treat - he is not just good, he is at times hilarious here.

The Norwegian film lacks the intensity of some such flicks, which is good thing, actually... emphasis here is on the hero's inner world. It avoids the so typical primitivism of many films in that genre - so if you enjoy the Korean relentless action, you might want to pass on this one.
