Michelin stars.
For those who greatly appreciate that food, only. Lots of extended footage of sushi being prepared, put in front of customers, and endlessly repeated platitudes about hard-work, single-mindedness, and the pursuit of perfection. Obviously, Jiro is a driven individual who has been exceptionally hard on his two sons, whom he trained. However, because of cultural and business reasons, neither of his sons could say anything of interest, whatsoever, except those same platitudes.
We learn little about sushi preparation or its history, not enough about Jiro's life, and the music is inappropriate and overwhelming, at times.
Did I mention how LONG this movie seemed?
