Well, I went to see it, in 3D.

It was pretty good.
Not quite as good as Monster House, but pretty good nonetheless.
The 3D effects were pretty good, but not great.

(Plantsman, I liked it better, (admittedly only slightly), than Coraline, of which I was not a big fan, even though I love Neil Gaiman's books. For some reason that movie just did not thrill me. A little too slow I guess.)

My review might not be quite fair, as I will be honest and state I was very tired when I saw the movie, and I actually fell asleep during it for a couple of seconds. (My 12 y.o. daughter had a sleep over the night before with two friends. My wife and I went to bed @ midnight, but the kids were up until past 4:30 am. They woke me up @ 3am, so I told them to quiet down, but it was about 4:30 when I fell back asleep.) My daughter said she started to fall asleep too.

I am looking forward to Hotel Transylvania 3D, which we saw a trailer for.

Also looking forward to "The Hobbit" come Christmas time, (but I am annoyed that they split this into three parts now, rather than just two). That is pretty ridiculous IMHO, since they managed to do each of the Lord of the Rings books into one movie, (admittedly one really long movie). Having to wait until Summer of 2014 for the conclusion seems like a bone head move to me. (If they had to make this a trilogy, they should have had the movies this Christmas, then next summer and then the following Christmas, so that they were done all inside of a year.)
