More recently, I blame Fox News.

But where the arts are concerned, that's no excuse to snob up, even if you claim you are not alone.

Most films today are aimed at 15 year old boys - some like grits will always be 15.

Others can still get in touch with that part of themselves and have fun.

Some things may be superior to those who are passionate enough to appreciate the differences, but if you can't tell the difference between Chateau Lafitte and Hearty Burgandy, it just means you are a cheaper date.

Enjoy your finer old films, as you pat yourself on the back with your feelings of superiority in your high brow solitude.
