Pain And Gain -- A monument to criminal stupidity . . .

Posted by Billy Wonka on April 26, 2013 at 14:25:39:

"Sometimes life serves you a shame sandwich with a side order of shit."

Too wacky to be true...but fortunately it is because no screenwriter would have ever thought all this up and linked it together. Wahlberg, Johnson, and Mackie come together under Wahlberg's leadership to commit a crime against a punk Miami entrepreneur who is the world's lousiest person (so it seems).

The idea hinged around kidnapping Shalhoub and extorting his fortune then disposing of him. Of course, everything goes wrong.

This is a funny, entertaining film that takes "mindless diversion" to the next level. It has all the Mann features: Miami, comic book color, close-up camera work, and the Mann flamboyance.
