very much like a Roland Emmerich film, filled with clowns and silliness and melodrama overall it works for fun

but the serious scenes are boring and mostly filler between the fights

throw in a couple of surprises and a cute little girl in a back story and you have a film that is a notch below the first Transformers

IMO of course
