'Prisoners': No sunshine in Pennsylvania . . .

Ready for a dark mood? Well, the overcast, drizzle, and night time settings will certainly help you get there. Two girls disappear Thanksgiving afternoon setting off a rampaging father (Jackman) and a world-weary detective (Gyllenhaal). The supporting cast is excellent as the story makes a few serious twists and turns. When the film began it had a rather pedestrian, been-there-done-this feel that melted into a seriously involving drama after a few scenes. This is worth a walk in.
