and very little racing action. I guess the cool bluish tone was to make it look like it was from the 70's when all the action took place. The film focused on Hunt's man-child behavior and Lauda's propensity to be the party pooper of the year. (It is hard to believe that Lauda was this difficult but that is for him to know and us to guess.)
Hemsworth was overly buff and gregarious while Bruhl generated a lot of intensity. Definitely two very different guys. The film has a story slant towards Hunt but shows us the history of both men coming of age. The acting was middle of the road but the story delivered on their rivalry and admiration for each other.
It is enjoyable even with its tendency for triteness and cliche.
