The Conversation (1974)

Somehow missed until now, The Conversation was made three years after The French Connection and may best show Hackman's range as an actor, before he became simply Gene Hackman as I know him today.

A scene involving a tube amp may offend, although those in possession of the other kind might find it amusing.

Filmed in San Francisco
