I was a bit surprised at the time, this is your previous post on this film:
From the director of "Training Day," Antoine Fuqua comes the best police thriller in a LONG time, "Brooklyn's Finest." Yeah, full of egregious faults but it builds better than any movie I've seen in a LONG time to a spine-shattering climax(es).
Richard Gere gives the performance of his career and, too bad, at the beginning of the new Oscar contention season. It's that good. Mind, I've never been a Gere fan, either. But here, he's eliminated all the Gere-isms and whittled it down to a human scale character, devoid of acting charisma, chutzpah, and that ridiculous grin. A NOT to be missed performance.
