RE: I've yet to see a "watchable" Hercules movie....

but then I haven't bothered to see many of them. Think of those Italian made/English dubbed Hercules movies from the late fifties/early sixties. Yawn.

The movie trailers being shown on TV do indicate some promise. And Duane Johnson really does seem a natural for this role. I'm not surprised the movie is a let down. Thanks for the advisory. Maybe, after the movie has quickly gone to DVD, then to free TV, I may allow the DVR to record a showing so that I can fast forward through the multitudes of adds.

The only reason I might care is to take a view into ancient Greek mythology which itself seems interesting.

Time for a digression:
Mid 1990s there was a TV series; Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. Staring Kevin Sorbo. And then there was the spin-off; Xena: The Warrior Princess. (Lucy Lawless) Even more fun. I thought those were worth watching.
