Anyone tired of House of Cards yet?

Posted by Victor Khomenko on March 4, 2015 at 05:53:17:

I was already tired at the end of second season, now it is very slow going, we feel no rush at all.

Spacey is now outright boring, repetitious and with no zing left in his fuel tanks. His artificial manner of speech has grown old. Even the obvious Obama caricature has short legs - too easy a target.

Hillary (Robin Wright) is as predictable as they come, her insatiable thirst for power is such a cliche it is hardly a script's high point - that honor certainly belongs to her pissing on the john, while talking to the Russian ambassador - although the scene clearly lacks some memorable sound effects of the famous Dumb and Dumber moment.

I suspect Clintons have reason to hate the show, and Obama finds it mildly entertaining, any narcissistic person with the knack for selfies would... as the rest of us it is becoming a piece of manure floating aimlessly in a rain barrel - so far, after six episodes there is hardly much to remember... the Russian president is so one dimensional it is not even funny, but then, of course, not much could be said in that regard since the famous:

"Hello? Uh, hello? Hello, Dmitri? Listen, I can't hear too well, do you suppose you could turn the music down just a little? A-ha, that's much better. Yeah, yes. Fine, I can hear you now, Dmitri. Clear and plain and coming through fine. I'm coming through fine too, eh? Good, then. Well then, as you say, we're both coming through fine. Good. Well, it's good that you're fine, and - and I'm fine. I agree with you. It's great to be fine."

Some targets are so tall, they should simply be left alone.
