After having seen District 9 and then Elysium then your comments..
it seems there is a signature style from this director that really doesn't work for me either.
Neil Blomkamp:
A young director with a certain style of vision. Ugliness magnified in the bright and harsh mid-afternoon light.
With all the hype surrounding District 9, I definitely had to see that one. Bought the BR. Played once. Perhaps I'll refer to it once in a great while...but not for pleasure.
As for Chappie, I know I'll have to see it, but I also know I can wait until it is out on cable and available for viewing free with subscription...
I don't know the box office numbers yet, but perhaps, with this one, there will be a short time period between theaters to disk... and then an even shorter period from disk to cable.
Thanks for doing the heavy lifting here.
