'Entourage': "Do you know what they do to Jews in Texas?"

Posted by Billy Wonka on June 4, 2015 at 15:13:15:

An enlightened cultural observation by Jeremy Piven in probably the worst buddy picture ever contrived. I should have known a Wednesday opening meant it wasn't strong enough to stand up to all the other Friday openings. Having never seen the first episode on cable I will now be sure and never see one.

Juvenile humor, dumb acting, and numerous flashes of the female upper torso make this a desperate attempt for HBO to grab a few coins and to prop up the resumes of the central cast.

All the little subplots aren't worth summarizing but the sheer wealth of cameos is. They must have called in a lot of favors.

The sad fact is that as short as the trailer was that was the best part of the movie. I'm not sure about Kevin Dillion but if he acted like that in the series I'm surprised he made it all the way through.

Haley Joel Osment didn't see dead people but he sure delivered dead lines. Billy Bob was his billionaire dad and always delivers some nasty bully-boy action. Piven must come from a Hollywood family because his talents were nearly hidden. Heaven knows who the rest of the cast was.

Normally, I would post a trailer but you deserve better than that. I have wasted far too much of your time. A good night to all.
