RE: How did they get this thing financed and how will they recoup?

Posted by Mark Man on June 16, 2015 at 15:58:46:

I have no idea how HBO does it...where does the money come from other more subscriptions...So far I have not seen the GOT lunch boxes or action figures...

After season 1 and they lop off Ned Stark's head...all bets were off...

One of my nephews devours books and has read everything up to date...when I was quizzing him about Ned Stark, he got this sly smile and said..."don't get too attached to ANY of the characters"...that is a big 10-4...

Peter Drinklage is hard not to like...notice how many times they will do a close-up face reaction shot...(I am putting money on you will see him flying a on dragon when they invade Kings Landing)...My Lion...

I really like Sam too...his getting laid scene was really funny..."oh my"...

Jonathan Pryce needs a little love too...his presents is just absolutely menacing...The High Sparrow...

I have a NEW grand Niece named Aria...slight change in spelling...she is STILL my odds on favorite for the Iron Throne...

One thing about this series, scenes that seem to not have any purpose as far as moving the story along, will eventually payoff...the Cobra Nymphs and Bronn jail scene...introduces the poison later used on Jamie's daughter...

The PC crowd is going insane with what transpired this season...fiction and fantasy be damned...

The opening credits and music have won Emmy's. The company responsible is called Elastic...My Maggies spit fire, (yes...pun), during the opening credits, for some reason the volume just goes up...must be a glitch in the rig...

I really hesitated about creating this post because there is just too much to talk about...scope and density I just have never experienced...or most of the world for that matter...

I really can't say that the writing is great...but the story telling is...wait for it...EPIC...aauurrrggg hate that word...

Now...a few questions and observations...

Will Jon Snow become a White Walker??? OR Be resurrected by the Red Witch???

Will are Ari's blindness awaken other "powers" within her???

Will Sansa be done being a victim??? AND Why was it left as a Cliffhanger...

When will Cersei Lannister and Ellaria Sand be face to face for the Mother of all cat fights??? NOT if...WHEN...

Where is Bron Stark??? He is not done by a long shot...

Olenna Tyrel has a few tricks up her sleeve yet...

When and How will Daenery's dragons be let loose? AND...Can you train a Dragon???

The average cost per episode is $6-Mil...Cersei walk of shame was $250K...Daernery's wigs are REAL hair and $7000 per wig...

The logistics of scheduling and shooting is just mind blowing...6 countries and 3 full time crews...of course shot non-sequentially...

Felling overwhelmed again...
thanks
Mark
