RE: Seeing a movie many times

Posted by RGA on September 1, 2015 at 05:45:01:

It's interesting that I have some movies I consider great that I wouldn't probably watch again - and some guilty pleasures like "The Thing" (1982) or "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles" that I'll watch many times.

It would be interesting to come up with a list of movies that you know you have watched at least say 10 times. I saw Schindler's List 7 or 8 times in the theater which is my top for seeing something on the big screen during it's original theatrical release. If they re-released it I would go and see it again.

Movies I've seen at least 10 times (not that I hold them all as great movies but I find them easy to re-watch for whatever reason):

Aliens
Dawn of the Dead (78)
Goodfellas
Shawshank Redemption
Jaws
Pulp Fiction
Young Frankenstein
The Producers
Goodfellas
My Cousin Vinny
Superman II
E.T.
Notting Hill
Empire Strikes Back
Terminator and T2
Field of Dreams
Star Trek II and IV
The Exorcist
Poltergeist
Mr. Holland's Opus
Gattaca
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
The Rock
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
It's a Wonderful Life
A Christmas Carol (Alastair Sim B&W)
Back to the Future
The Shining
Bladerunner
Groundhog Day
Rocky

TV = Faulty Towers
