As you know, they were attempting to communicate with aliens. Well, finally, they discovered that music is the universal language. So, of course, they turned to the greatest music known throughout the whole universe, that of Elvis Presley.

Soon, all 12 sites throughout the world were filled with singing and dancing, as heptapods, soldiers, politicians, scientists, and civilians got down to "Viva Las Vegas." This went on for quite a while.

Just as the joyous celebration was winding down, the King himself showed up in holographic form and sand "You Ain't Nothin' but a Heptapod."

It was stunning.
