Who else thought, Malick's The Thin Red Line was better film, than SPR?

Unfortunately for Malick, the both movies were released at the same time. The one was packed with action, another with long monologues ...yet the Thin Red Line was more realistic than Saving Private Ryan (except the first 20 minutes of the beach landing).

My observation, as a Military History enthusiast.
