I saw the preview; seems like its aimed for an audience that includes lots of kids.

Yet the R rating will keep a lot of kids out of it. The matron at the theater I was in turned away a posse of middle and/or high schoolers who popped in for an after school matinee. She told them she couldn't sell them tickets without having an adult with them. First time I've witnessed that.
