'News From Planet Mars': Laughable French silliness . . .

Francois Damiens is Phillipe Mars, a harried, divorced 40-something. His ex foists the kids on him due to a work emergency and Phillipe struggles to cope with the younger generation, a desperate situation at work, and an insane, interloping workmate who installs himself on the sofa. The comings and goings of characters make your head spin as Mars struggles with his "much hipper" kids and their passions.

Damiens' has great comedic skills and I have enjoyed a few of his films. The rest of the cast are characters in the extreme and bounce off him like a backboard.

Passable if you like French film. If not, skip it. NF.
