RE: Pardon?

I am also left confused as to the merits that triggered his response. Was it the story, the acting, who knows? Everybody has different tastes. i guess he is a man of few words.

For instance, I once was crewing a ship with a guy who collected splatter films, extreme depictions of violence woven into a story were his preferred entertainment. He had some good flicks, but they were all splatter flicks. he provided my first viewing of 'basket case" at our first social meeting, just the two of us.

As is customary for sailors offering friendship upon a first time social setting, I offered him a beer as I entered the room. He declined, saying alcohol tends to make him violent.

As I was trying to find a way to consider this very new social information, he switched off the lights, and starting the viewing.

Gulp, he was a big muscly red headed guy I didn't know from Adam. Turned out to be a good guy, but it is a lawless world out there.
