I guess it's possible. Viral marketing (sounds so sinister!)...They all wish they could do it as well as Sony does!

I think another part of the equation that is being overlooked is the fact that Sony still has some of the brand cachet that they built up in the 80s... I personally think that their higher tier products are pretty nice.

I bought a 26 inch Bravia LCD and Samsung 1080P7 DVD player for bedroom movie watching. Memorial Day weekend sale at Magnolia... The Bravia is a very nice product! Excellent PQ with the Sammy upscaling to 720p over HDMI. Still tweaking on it, but I'm very impressed. It also has the best sound from small "TV speakers" that I've heard.

I'm getting off-topic here... all I'm trying to say is that Sony is still capable of bringing great products to market.
