Steve Nickerson , Senior V.P. , High Definition Media , at Warner Bros. says " The standalone player market is by far the biggest driver of movie sales in the LONG TERM . This is simply because those who buy a standalone player are interested soley in buying and watching movies and other video content , whereas those with HD drives built into games consoles are primarily interested in games " .

Most of the Blu-ray players that have been sold are PS3 games consoles .

HD DVD standalone players are outselling Blu-ray standalone players .

Warner Bros. is a major studio.

Steve Nickerson's comments , are , certainly , bad news for Blu-ray and Blu-ray fans .

OTOH , Steve Nickerson's comments are good news for HD DVD and HD DVD fans .
