The wow factor is that you can fit 50 GB worth of data on a blu-ray disc and you can author HDTV blu-ray home videos shot with a blu-ray camcorder. I agree that you don't reap the benefits of HDTV on a small iMac screen, but it's important to bring PC capabilities up to date for authoring home movies that you can watch on your blu-ray player and big-screen HDTV.
