RE: HDMI vs. component video
Posted by jaiello on August 19, 2007 at 19:46:17:
It has always been my understanding that component is an analog signal while HDMI is digital. It seems to me that digital content converted to analog for output to a receiving device is inferior to a digital signal beging fed to the output device. I would always go HDMI if the receiving device is capable. That plus the fact that HDMI is one wire as opposed to five for component including the audio makes it a no brainer for me.
