Perhaps the most widely told story in this format war, was that porn would decide the war, like it had determined VHS/Betamax.

What happened was that this leading porn company initially prefered the lower cost of making HD DVD. Later they went neutral and now they change to Blu Ray exclusive due to market demand.

So porn determined nothing in Blu Ray versus HD DVD. And I doubt it decided VHS.

I think this myth about porn power needs to be busted.
