Here's the good news. The 10 Lumen tech is (according to those who saw it at CES) a-m-a-z-i-n-g. It is to the current Kuros what they are to other plasmas. There is a thread over at avsforum that has some comparison pics. The blacks look as black as the bezel. To me, the black levels, color depth and shadow detail of the 10 Lumen Pioneers (also to be called Kuros) is far sexier than just a thin panel itself would be. I'm more excited about the picture than a panel being skinny. Kuro is already thin enough for me thank you very much.
The additional good news is that the 10 Lumen panels aren't supposed to be pricier. When they finally get here.
It looks like we are gonna have to wait for a while.
I gotta admire Pioneer for demoing a superior new technology right next to the current SOTA Kuros.
