OSRAM manufactures the bulb, not Sony

I think stocking up on lamps will not be necessary. The aftermarket suppliers will continue to produce lamps long after Sony has abandoned the RPTV market.

Check out dlplampsource.com - they clearly state that it is unnecessary to replace the entire housing. The lamp is all that needs replacement.
