Heya, John. Thanks a ton for the detailed response. Good stuff!! I hadn't yet stumbled upon Xantech and their current sensing module sounds like it would do the trick. My Calypso is tube based, so I am going to assume that there will be enough current to activate.

I also checked out the Radio Shack option and think this is several miles above my electrical ability, though, the price is definitely right!
