I Went The 720P Route At Least For Now

Posted by Robertc88 on February 22, 2008 at 06:53:13:

Panasonic 37" Plasma. To top it off, I got it at a great price from a friend who was anxious to upgrade from this display. So why not????

To say the least, the enjoyment I'm getting from watching SD DVD upscaled and from Blu Ray is far and away more than I ever anticipated.

I don't see the cost in the future being anything that will stop J6P from replacing their older displays and SD DVD players. Why buy those technologies again especially when their current units break down? It will obviously take some time for prices to drop and the war with SD DVD will linger but I'm confident migrating will become commonplace eventually in households! You didn't mention the sound at all which is yet another upgrade over SD DVD but I understand folks connecting straight to the audio jacks on the display currently for the sound but the extra benefit is still there for those that want it with BD even with just an HDMI cable!

BTW, remember those stubborn folks who hadn't migrated away from VHS? They had to and eventually won't have any choice moving away from SD DVD either! :)
