People can still watch and enjoy HD DVDs. In fact, with the current sales, its not a bad idea for people to get a movie they really like cheap. This idea, that just because HD DVD didn't win the war, so its now unwatchable, is just plain ignorant. By all accounts, vinyl is a dead format yet my LPs still play fine.
Its going to be a VERY long time before any of Universal's or Paramount's HD DVD exclusive titles make it to BD. Hell, Warner has stated that their HD DVD exclusives will be out on BD sometime in the 2008/2009 cycle. I'ld be surprised if Uni and Para were any earlier.
Wait a year or more to pay a high price for the BD version (if it comes at all), or get and enjoy the HD DVD version now.
Hmmmmm.
