Is there any point to getting a Blu ray for a 420p screen?

Posted by late on March 23, 2008 at 07:28:31:

I have the first Oppo dvd player and love it. It is 420p just like my TV and I was genuinely surprised to find the Faroudja chip actually worked. Really helps with the old TV shows that make up the bulk of my entertainment.

But.. Oppo is working on Blu-ray and it should be a dandy little toy. Would
there be any point to getting one with my 420p TV. Seems doubtful, but I have heard comments to the contrary.
