What do you think of Samsung LN46A650 LCD HDTV?

After inputs from my friends at Outside asylum, I have searched and narrowed down my choice for this HDTV set. Currently, Best Buy sell this for $2,899 and with tax in CO, total is about $3,140.
Yestarday, I made an offer to keep the total cost under $3,000 including the TV, a HDTV DVD player, and taxes plus on interest no payemnt for 3 years. My salesman is interested. My only problem is the 50% off (with the purchase of the TV) Samsung DVD player which says "HD upconversion." I will take it that this is not a BlueRay player, am I right?
Best Buy also have a SONY BlueRay player for $399. If I am to give them a "Take it or leave it," offer, what should I ask (LOL)?
Would $3,100 be good number (for the TV, BlueRay DVD, and taxes) or will there be Prime Time News on "Man was severely beaten by BestBuy sales reps after cheapening their products"?
Your inputs please.
