I have a very nice 34" 16:9 Sony XBR that is still in service in the family room and at 200+ pounds it took two people to place it.
And no, it doesn't have an HD tuner but most sets of that era didn't. If you're on Cable TV or Satellite, you won't need an HD tuner. If you need one, they can be had for a couple hundred dollars max.
I will never again buy a CRT set mainly because they're too big and bulky and weigh a ton! I can move my 42" Plasma set by myself and decent Plasma and LCD sets about that size can be had for about $500 - $1000.![]()
