How about the new unit from Emotiva (UMC-1)? The final construction is taking place and the unit should be available any time now. Can be had for $699 *and* you can upgrade to newer generation processors with 40% credit (you don't even have to turn in your old unit, you just get 40% off). I'm waiting for mine. www.emotiva.com
