The breakdown on PS3 components--including the Cell chip, four USB ports, wifi, blue tooth, Blu-ray hard drive--comes to a few hundred dollars more than list price. It was about $850.

Bashing Sony is fine (except when it involves defending TOshiba or MS)...but the PS3 has among the lowest failure rates, best support and great quality.

Enjoy your BDs! I just watched In the Line of Fire and the definition is so good I almost fell out of my chair.
