HDMI cable

Hi guys, just wondering, I just ordered a Panasonic BD55K player. Will it work ok with my older HDMI 1.1 cable.
I already have that cable routed through the wall up behind my Pana 50" plasma, and its not too easy to change. Not to mention it cost me $90 couple years ago :(
