If I only watch SD DVDs should I get a 42" or 50" Plasma?

Posted by Tom80112 on July 29, 2009 at 11:04:18:

I was thinking of a 50" plasma but I am concerned the 50" would
blow up the image of a standard def DVD to the point where it looks
soft (less sharp). Maybe a 42" plasma would look better for 100% DVD
viewing?

Also would a 720P model of either 42" or 50" be better than 1080P
since the native resolution of 720P is closer to the 480P resolution
of DVDs? (IE less upscaling??)

Thanks
